Meet Brennan Wells

Senior Law Clerk

Brennan is first and foremost a protector.

He found his passion for aggressively defending the rights of all people because of his veracious appetite for reading, namely “Locking Up our Own: Crime and Punishment in Black America” and “The New Jim Crow.” Brennan’s passion for protecting the rights matured even more so while in law school where he served clients in Drake Law’s Advanced Criminal Defense Clinic.

Moreover, Brennan prides himself on diligent and aggressive advocacy. He meticulously scrutinizes the details of his cases and is thoughtful in formulating legal pathways forward for clients.

What is more, Brennan’s core values compel him to address the racial disparities and collateral consequences in the justice system. A commitment generated in part, because of his upbringing in the prison capital of the United States, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Brennan holds a Bachelors in Political Science from Prairie View A&M University, as well as a Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School.

In his spare time, you will find Brennan in the gym, theater, or attending a poetry slam. Brennan is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
